According to these data, in 2019 there were about 448 thousand people living below the poverty line, which is less compared to 2018 when there were 455 thousand poor people.
By household type, the poverty rate of households with two adults and two children last year was 19.3 percent. The rate of poor employees is 8.5 percent, while the rate of poor retirees is 7.7 percent.
