The first Macedonian company licensed to cultivate medical cannabis opened Wednesday its production plant, which is an investment estimated at EUR 16 million.
The new plant of NYSK Holdings, constructed on an area of 17,800 square meters, is located in the industrial zone in the Municipality of Petrovec outside Skopje.
The production plant features state-of-the-art equipment in the laboratory, estimated at EUR one million.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony, PM Zoran Zaev said investments in the midst of a pandemic ‘instill assurance and create jobs.’
Health Minister Venko Filipche, Polish Ambassador Wojciech Tyciński, and PHCANN and NYSK Holdings CEO Zlatko Keskovski also addressed event.
Established in 2016, NYSK is part of PHCANN Group. It is licensed to grow and extract medical grade cannabis and to produce pharmaceutical products. They will be distributed on markets at home and abroad.
