Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski, along with Minister of Labour and Social Policy, Jovanka Trenchevska and Employment Service Agency head Bekim Murati visited on Saturday Metal Decor Design company.
PM Kovachevski met with the founder of Metal Decor Design company, Igor Mladenovski, who founded the company owing to the self-employment measure of the national operational plan on employment of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, implemented by the Employment Service Agency, the government said in a press release.
According to Kovachevski, people who accept the challenge, with successful business projects give a chance to other citizens in creating new jobs. PM Kovachevski assessed the operational plan on employment as one of the most successful projects of the government, which in 2021 implemented as much as 94.6 percent of the planned measures and employed 11,292 unemployed people.
He noted that the measures from the operational plan on employment assisted in reducing unemployment to a historic 15.9 percent, with a tendency to continue to decline and that by the end of the government’s term, unemployment will be below 10 percent. Encouraged by the results of the operational plan for 2021, the budget for this purpose for 2022 provides increased funds, i.e. Mden 1.73 billion, Kovachevski said, adding that it promises successful business initiatives in the future.
