Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski said Monday that analysis are being carried out on increasing pensions, announcing financial assistance to pensioners to help them cope with the energy and economic crisis, news agency MIA reports.
During his visit to Rosoman, he said that a methodology is already being worked on that will enable sustainable and long-term increase of pensions and that will be presented to all stakeholders.
“We are carrying out analysis that will be presented through a dialogue in which pensioners’ associations, all stakeholders and state institutions will participate. We are working on a methodology that will enable sustainable and long-term increase of pensions as pensioners because retirees deserve to have dignified retirement days after so many years of work and contribution to the development of the country,” Kovachevski told reporters after pruning a vineyard in Rosoman.
He also said that VMRO-DPMNE’s proposal is not based on any analysis and methodology.
