The president of SDSM Dimitar Kovacevski sent a video – congratulations to the citizens on the occasion of the New Year holidays.
– We are leaving 2021 behind us. A year of social recovery from the coronavirus, of mass vaccination, but also a year of economic recovery. These days, when people, homes, are filled with hope and faith, motivated we enter new beginnings, to continue committed to the realization of the goals before us. 2022 will be a year of new challenges, especially in the field of energy and the coronavirus pandemic, but it will also be a year of new joint successes on a social, and above all economic level, says Kovacevski in the video greeting card.
The focus, he points out, will be on the economy and improving the living standards of citizens, but also on fulfilling the strategic goal – EU membership.
– With a focus on the economy, efficiency of institutions, responsibility and honesty to improve the living standards of citizens. The minimum wage must continue to rise, and with it the average wage, pensions, will rise, while unemployment will continue to fall. We will achieve that with responsible and dedicated work, together with my team and together with you, the citizens. Our common future is a future in the EU and we will not give up that aspiration, we will work to fulfill this strategic goal, says Kovacevski.
He calls for 2022 to be a year of cohesion and togetherness.
