An investigating judge has seized the passport of the former head of the National Agency for European Educational Programmes and Mobility, Lidija Dimova after she was charged with embezzling EU funds.
Another suspect in the embezzlement case, whose initials were revealed as A.G., also had his passport seized, the Criminal Court in Skopje said Wednesday.
The suspects are ordered to report to the court and are banned from performing certain duties.
Also, an investigating judge two days ago ordered precautionary measures be put in place for another suspect in the case.
Last week, the Financial Police filed charges against four people, including Dimova, who has since been dismissed as head of the National Agency.
Dimova and three men are suspected of having embezzled a total of 25,334,543 denars (about EUR 412,000). Their charges include abuse of office, embezzlement of funds from the European Commission, complicity and professional negligence.
