CIVIL – Center for Freedom and the Ministry of Interior Affairs today signed a Memorandum of Cooperation and Partnership.

The Memorandum is a long-standing initiative for civic participation and cooperation with the Ministry of Interior Affairs in the areas of fighting radicalism, violent extremism and various aspects of arms control.

This partnership and cooperation with the Ministry of the Interior will contribute to a greater presence of CSOs on the ground, through education and expertise in the process of increasing trust between institutions and citizens, as well as in the joint fight against extremism and terrorism.

Part of this cooperation between CIVIL and the Ministry of Interior covers issues related to electoral monitoring and prevention of election irregularities and protection of human rights and freedoms in contact with the police.
