Janko Bacev’s openly pro-Russian non-parliamentary political party has sent a statement to the public titled “United Macedonia to DS, LDP, DOM and VMRO-NP: If you truly want a single constituency, seize the chance from VMRO-DPMNE”, reports Meta.mk.
They are calling on the Democratic Union led by Pavle Trajanov, the Democratic Renewal of Macedonia with Maja Moracanin, the Liberal-Democratic Party with Goran Milevski and VMRO-People’s Party with Ljubco Georgievski to support VMRO-DPMNE’s proposal for termination of the so-called “Przino” Technical Government. This, as they say from the pro-Russian party, “opens the way for amending the Electoral Code to one of a single constituency”.
United Macedonia, then, talks on behalf of the biggest opposition party saying that “VMRO supports a single constituency if these parties encourage themselves and support early elections”.
Otherwise, VMRO-DPMNE is pressuring smaller parties every day, which are part of the ruling majority that currently has 64 MPs. The smaller parties altogether have five MPs and that is exactly why the pressure of DPMNE and the pro-Russian United Macedonia is directed at them, with the purpose, if it succeeds, for the government to fall.
