Iran ‘threatens’ Albania: We have drones capable of hitting the MEK base

Another threat has come from Iran to Albania, after the cyber attacks of a month ago that caused chaos and system paralysis in the country, Politiko.al writes.

The article published on an Iranian government portal “Iran Front Page” refers to an Iranian state newspaper according to which it is said that Iran “possesses radar-evading unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) that it can use to hit the base of the anti-Iran terrorist group Mujahedin Khalq (MKO) in Albania.”

It is about the MEK base of the Mujahideen in Manza of Durrës, which was also mentioned by Iranian hackers after the attack on the TIMS system.

“The capabilities of Iran’s drones or missiles are not limited to the geographical area of neighboring countries; on the contrary, Iran enjoys so many capabilities in the aerospace sector, especially in the field of drones, that it can easily target the MKO base in Tirana” , reports ‘Iran Front Page’.

Further, referring to the state newspaper, the portal writes that “Iran has secret suicide and combat drones that can travel beyond the distance between Iran and Albania and hit the target.”

The government’s official gazette also touches on a statement issued by Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence, in which it highlighted the role of the MKO in recent unrest in several Iranian cities. In the statement, the ministry announced that some of the arrested protesters are members of the MKO.

“Under international law, when a terrorist group openly threatens the security of a country and openly admits its actions, that country has a legitimate right to target the base and members of that group, exactly similar to what happened in the northern region of Iraq against terrorist groups. stationed there, or what happened against the ISIS terrorist group in Syria,” the article says.
