Interior Minister Oliver Spasovski received on Monday his first COVID-19 vaccine dose at the Kumanovo vaccination site and commended the Kumanovo residents in showing willingness to get vaccine and thanked the healthcare personnel in implementing immunization process.
Encouraging citizens to apply via vakcinacija.mk, Spasovski said it was the only way to win this fight against the pandemic. For him, vaccination is a civic, personal and social responsibility.
“Indeed, only vaccination of the population can help to defeat COVID-19 and therefore it is very important that all citizens of Kumanovo and our country to apply for vaccination in large numbers. I want to express my satisfaction that the large number of residents of Kumanovo have registered for vaccination, already over ten percent of the population of the city have been immunized, which shows in action the responsibility we have both as a city and as people,” Spasovski stated.
He underlined that all jabs are safe and called on citizens to get inoculated experience in order to prevent severe or fatal COVID-19 outcomes.
“I’m glad that many citizens have already applied for vaccination and I once encourage them to apply via vakcinacija.mk. Getting vaccinated is one of the best ways to protect yourself and others from COVID-19,” he said, urging the citizens to continue wearing face masks and maintaining social distancing, as the pandemic is not over yet.
Spasovski also thanked the healthcare personnel in their fight against COVID-19 and administering the vaccines.
