With maximum compliance to the coronavirus protection measures, in an excellent and dynamic atmosphere, a two-day regional seminar on transparency and responsible political processes was held in Stip.
The seminar included lecturers Petrit Saracini, who joined online, Zoran Ivanov, Xhabir Deralla, while experienced journalists Vojo Manevski and Ivan Bojadziski as well as Biljana Jordanovska and Xhabir Deralla from CIVIL spoke on the topic of responsibility, professionalism and media ethics as opposed to hate speech and fake news. The President of the Council of the Municipality of Stip, Marijana Rogozhanska Popovska, spoke on the topic of local policies, transparency and responsibility. Sasho Ordanoski also had a video lecture on democratic values.
Through the interactive workshops, in which the participants became familiar with practical and theoretical content on several topics, such as transparency, media literacy and recognizing fake news and disinformation and the situation with human rights and freedoms, basics of journalism, Petrit Saracini and Zoran Ivanov initiated the path towards active citizen participation in creating policies at the local and national level.
The seminar was an excellent opportunity for participants to learn about CIVIL’s projects, initiatives and activities, to give their own proposals and ideas, but also to be part of the organization.
