The ministries and state administration bodies must submit information until Wednesday on the funds they have available for the referendum, while the Government is to determine at a session the amount that will be allocated for the campaign. Some institutions are already submitting information and know the figures, whereas associations that are opposing the referendum are also demanding money for the campaign “Macedonia boycotts”.

From these, 1612 applications have been accepted, 27 have been rejected, while the rest of the applications are being processed. The greatest number of application have been submitted for voting in Bern – 170, in Ljubljana – 137, in London – 103, in Toronto – 98, and in Canberra 71. The smallest number of applications have been submitted for voting in Kiev, Podgorica and Pristina – with one application, and new Delhi, Cairo and Doha – with two applications.

The voting abroad will be conducted on September 29, in the diplomatic-consular offices of Republic of Macedonia where at least 10 applications for voting have been accepted.

Reforms in the judiciary, implementing the internal procedures in terms of the agreement for resolving the name dispute, ensuring greater accountability and appropriate supervision over the intelligence and security services, checking the internal procedures for sending armed forces abroad…are part of the guidelines that the Government of Republic of Macedonia has received from NATO, and which should be implemented within a time period of 18 months.

The ministries, in coordination with the Government, will have to fulfill many economic, political, security and judicial conditions, which should be realized by April 2020.

In the document sent by the Secretary General of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, among the political conditions that Macedonia has to adopt are numerous conditions emphasized in the area of defense and the army. Among else, the need is highlighted for ensuring that there are no constitutional or lawful restrictions that could hinder the collective defense operations, ensuring that all strategic guidelines for development, transformation and functioning of the national defense system and the capabilities are in accordance with the future membership in NATO.

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikola Dimitrov, today will meet with US Secretary of State Michael Pompeo at the US State Department.

Dimitrov, as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced, in addition to meeting with the Secretary of State Pompeo, is also scheduled to meet with senior officials of the US administration – the National Security Council, the State Department, the Congress, as well as with representatives of NGO’s and other institutions in Washington.

The Head of the Macedonian diplomacy last night had meetings with representatives of the Heritage Foundation and the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies.

In the Criminal Court in Skopje, a new procedure is to start tomorrow regarding the events in the Parliament of Republic of Macedonia on April 27 last year.

The case will be led by the judge for organized crime, Dobrila Kacarska.

The Public Prosecutor’s Office of Republic of Macedonia, this March announced that it had filed an indictment against 30 people, of which 28 for terrorist endangerment of the constitutional order and security in accordance to Article 313 of the Criminal Code, and two persons for complicity in the

same criminal act. According to the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the indictment includes three persons, members of the structures of the Ministry of the Interior, who as authorized officials had been holders of “gold” and “silver” command, as well as persons who had been participants in another group, as organizers of the movement “For United Macedonia”.
