The injured in the Serbian bus accident on Bulgaria’s Trakia highway will be transported on Friday to the Kalotina border crossing under medical supervision by two teams from the Emergency Medical Aid Center – Stara Zagora, said the Bulgarian Ministry of Health, writes MIA.
The patients to be transported are in an improved general health condition. An organization has been set up for them to be taken in by Serbian medical teams after crossing the border.
One adult patient remains in the Stara Zagora hospital and is expected to be transported to Serbia in a few days.
The driver of the bus that overturned on the highway remains in detention.
Criminal charges have been brought against the driver for violating road traffic rules and negligently causing a traffic accident while driving a bus on the Trakia highway near Stara Zagora on August 14, which resulted in bodily injuries of 12 children aged 6-16 and a 40-year-old man, as well as a heavy bodily injury of a 42-year-old man, said the court in Stara Zagora.
