The election campaigns are a democratic extravagance in which everyone is allowed to talk whatever comes to mind. Those who lost the previous elections (and several before them) are especially touching, as the “new future” (?!) that is immensely being promised at election rallies to a great extent resembles the “wooden iron” of the “old past” that we remember all too well.
Directly from the deepest moral sewage of that past, in recent weeks all their trolls have “awaken”, propaganda bastards and journalistic liquidators, led by several doyens of the journalistic stupidity and malice who for years have been harassing the public, working off for all national-populist autocrats of this region, from Miloshevic to Gruevski and back.
Instead of paying them to be silent – again they are paying them to wail for the beauties of the fallen regime. Even today, they cannot get over the fact that we have become a NATO member and that the attempt for a coup by attacking the Parliament on April 27 proved to be a poorly devised and tragically executed operation, with a miserable end.
And hence, it all went well for them for a whole decade.
Some of them rejoice over the European integration veto from Bulgaria, and precisely in the days when the start of the defeat of fascism of 80 years ago is being celebrated. When you read or hear them, one could almost think that the Partisans were the defeated side in World War II. And that this factual situation will somehow change, just because Bulgaria today is in the EU, and we are waiting to enter it. Intimately, they assume that they are again on the wrong side of history, because it is not normal for the whole world to put pressure on Sofia, and for them to be right. The compromise that is being sought, when it will be reached, will again be a treason for their afterlife cause.
What unites them is the hatred towards Zaev. More than they hate each other. Not even MANU managed to unite them properly, although much electrical engineering (and mechanical) effort was invested in that high-voltage relativization. Only Zaev they hate collectively, like priests who eat meat on Friday.
Besides, they are well on their way to compromise the whole idea of independent, non-partisan candidates with “most partisan” mayor candidate they could have think of for Skopje and with the threats of that rightist exhibitionist at rallies of his “own” independent Skopje candidate that he would cut hands and heads after the elections…
It could possibly be from the Covid. It is still medically unclear where the insidiousness of the virus strikes, but also the hippocampus – that deeply implanted part of the brain in charge of learning and memorizing – could be one of the virus victims. How little they have learned, and remembered nothing takes your breath away.
