Health Minister Venko Filipche told reporters on Wednesday that, if necessary, the existing coronavirus-related restrictive measures will be extended after April 20.
“If necessary – yes, we will extend the restrictive measures. We will probably hold talks over this weekend and early next week and we will monitor the number of hospitalized patients and hospital capacities. These are the criteria upon which we will make decisions during the next week,” Filipche said in response to a reporter’s question about possible extension of the current restrictive measures.
The restrictive measures in place include nationwide curfew from 8 pm to 5 am, and dine-in service are banned in all bars, restaurants, and other non-essential hospitality establishments from April 7-20.
Asked when he will be vaccinated against COVID-19, Minister Filipche said that he will wait for a larger quantity of vaccines to arrive in the country, adding that he will take whatever vaccines is offered to him as all COVID-19 vaccines are safe.
