The EU’s Special Representative for the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue, Miroslav Lajčák, said after discussions with Serbia’s President Aleksandar Vučić, he hoped they were on the right track, adding that talks continue, Beta reports, writes MIA.
“After a second round of discussions late last night, I hope we are on the right track. I appreciate the Serbian President’s sincere effort to support a European solution. Our talks continue,” Lajčák tweeted on Friday.
Lajčák and the US Western Balkans envoy Gabriel Escobar held talks with Vučić late Friday in what was a second round of discussions for the day.
After Kosovo-Serbia crisis talks in Brussels ended without a breakthrough, Lajčák and Escobar visited Pristina and Belgrade in an attempt to reach an agreement over the car license plates and travel documents issue by September 1.
