Deputy Director of Agency for Community Rights Realization (ACRR) and President of Party of Democratic Action of Macedonia Dzelal Hodzic was in a working visit to the European Parliament, where he had working meetings with MEPs Ilhan Kucuk, Karlo Ressler, Valter Flego, as well as with Elma Orucevic, assistant to MEP Irena Joveva.
The situation of the smaller communities in the Republic of North Macedonia was discussed at the meetings. The commitment of the Republic of North Macedonia to start EU accession negotiations as soon as possible was conveyed to the MEPs, as well as the importance of the whole Western Balkans region to have a sustainable European perspective.
-All smaller communities are always inclined towards the development of democratic processes, as well as Euro-Atlantic and European integration. More democracy, more EU and more NATO means more voices and better status of the smaller communities. And that is a better position for them to contribute to the development of the Macedonian society, but also better position for protection, development and promotion of the identity and culture of the smaller communities themselves, said Hodzic.
We will continue with regular communication and collaboration with the MEPs on these topic, he added.
