The health system is getting ready for implementing the COVID-19 vaccination process, one the biggest logistical operations to date. Immunization will be carried out by doctors and nurses who are currently not working with coronavirus patients, Health Minister Venko Filipche posted Wednesday on Facebook.
He added that plans for obtaining, storing, distribution and application of shots are in the final stages. Next week, the Minister noted, authorities are set to perform a field-test to see what the process will look like in practice.
In line with recommendations, health workers, army members, police officers, civil servants, public transport drivers, the chronically ill, etc. should be the first to get vaccinated, read Filipche’s post.
