The Ministry of Health has joined the Common Trust Network for issuing digital health certificates through the CommonPass app, which offers many opportunities to the Macedonian citizens to get a digital health certificate in line with the Smart Health Card global standard.
It means the citizens are able to document their COVID-19 status in order to travel and to respond to requirements at border crossings of other countries all the while their privacy is protected, the Ministry said Wednesday.
It also said it will inform all relevant institutions involved in the area, including the Public Health Institute and certified state and private labs, about the app and the opportunities it offers.
“The Ministry of Health encourages all interested institutions and labs to contact directly the Common Trust Network in order to join the base of accredited CommonPass partners to be able to issue certificates featuring QR code that will be scanned by people on their mobile phones to create digital certification,” said the press release.
By introducing the app, Macedonian citizens are provided with flexibility when choosing a provider and the way to get free digital certificate recording their immunization status and results from COVID-19 tests, according to the Ministry.
