Anti-slavery activist Harriet Tabman will replace former US President Andrew Jackson on a $ 20 bill, the Biden administration has announced.
The bond with Harriet Tubman, born a slave in 1822, was originally supposed to be sold last year, but was delayed during President Donald Trump, who described it as “pure political correctness”.
Biden has reopened the process, with White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki saying the Treasury Department is looking for ways to speed it up.
