Bulgarian carrier GullivAir has scheduled the flights on the regular airline Sofia-Skopje-Sofia, which will mark the resumption of flights between the two capital cities, MIA informs.
The thirty-minute service will commence on March 26, 2022 and run twice per week, each Monday and Saturday. “The resumption of flights between Bulgaria and North Macedonia is an import step in improving the transport link between the two countries.
This commitment was undertaken by the Bulgarian government and has already been realized thanks to our good partnership with my Macedonian counterpart Blagoj Bochvarski,” commented Bulgarian Transport and Communications Minister Nikolay Sabev, cited by his press center. Sabev said that efforts are being made to build a railway link between the two countries as soon as possible.
A promotional flight was operated between the two capitals on February 11, 2022 with GullivAir’s ATR72-600 aircraft, carrying Bulgaria’s Ministers of Transport and Communications and Tourism, Nikolay Sabev and Hristo Prodanov, as well as North Macedonia’s Minister of Transport and Communications Blagoj Bochvarski, Minister of Local Self-Government Goran Milevski and Razmena Durovik, state secretary at the Ministry of Economy.
