The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Political System and Inter-Community Relations, Artan Grubi, met today with the EU Ambassador, David Gere. The Head of the EU Office, Ambassador Gere, expressed his condolences for the tragic case in Bulgaria, supporting the resolution of the case in co-operation between the two countries.
Support for the development and integration processes of the Republic of Northern Macedonia in the European Union with special emphasis on further advancement of the reform processes and dialogue policies and strategic goals of the country, were only part of the conversation between the two interlocutors, informed Grubi’s office.
At the meeting, they added, the dispute with Bulgaria was discussed and it was stressed that it is necessary to reach an agreement between the two countries as soon as possible, because “the path of the Republic of Northern Macedonia to the European Union is of particular importance.”
The whole process should be closed without delay because if it is not closed now, the dispute between the two countries will be delayed for years and will block the European integration process of the Republic of Northern Macedonia, and on the other hand it may affect the security of the country, the region. , is the conclusion of the meeting.
