The Government on Wednesday urged North Macedonia’s citizens living abroad to actively take part in the country’s 2021 Population and Housing Census which is happening between March 1 and April 21.
Government Spokesperson Muamet Hoxha noted at Wednesday’s press conference that the national headcount which began on March 1 also includes prisoners, employees in the country’s diplomatic and consular missions abroad and their families, and deployed troops providing census information.
In addition, Hoxha pointed out that the Government adopted Tuesday, at the proposal of the Commission for Infectious Diseases, the Protocol on preventive measures when administering the Population and Housing Census. The Protocol incorporates measures in all three stages of the Census – testing stage, training stage and field stage – including a specific Protocol for COVID-19 positive persons at the time of the Census.
