Under the budget review, the government will single out 54 million denars to reward all health workers treating COVID-19 patients, including professionals working in COVID centers in the capital Skopje and in hospitals across the country, the Health Ministry says Wednesday.
A total of 243 million denars (EUR 4 million) has been set aside by the government to help the healthcare system combat the new coronavirus, including the 54 million denars.
The rest will be used to procure the drug Remdesivir, vaccines, COVID-19 tests and to equip the public health institutions.
The budget review is expected to be adopted in the coming days, which will launch the implementation of the fourth surplus package designed to help the citizens, the companies and the economy in general, says the Health Ministry.
