The government at a session Tuesday decided that hospitality businesses should push back closing time to 9 pm starting January 21, Prime Minister Zoran Zaev said.
“Reviewing the epidemiological situation, the government decided that as of January 21, hospitality businesses should stay open until 9 pm. The decision ends the temporary limitation of operating hours of restaurants at gas stations as well as restaurants in hotels, motels, hostels and other accommodating capacities. Now, they can return to their normal working hours regulated under the law,” Zaev said in a Facebook post.
Meanwhile, Health Minister Venko Filipche writing on Facebook said that measures could be further relaxed after reviewing the epidemiological situation, meaning bars and restaurants could stay open until 11 pm.
