The Government is continuously monitoring the situation and is taking concrete steps to preserve the people’s living standard. Over the next few days, people will learn about a new set of measures to overcome the economic situation, so as to avoid a major price shock of basic food items and energy sources, informs MIA news agency.
In addition, the Government will discuss overcoming the current situation caused by global developments with all relevant stakeholders, including trade unions, chambers of commerce, employers within the Economic Council, as well as outside experts, it said in a press release.
“Everyone will contribute within their own domain in terms of coming up with possible solutions and suggestions. Additionally, the Government said on Sunday that there won’t be changes in heating bills. This decision amends a decree on criteria and requirements for declaring a state of emergency in case of natural disasters, accidents and disturbances on the heating market,” reads the press release.
“The upcoming measures will preserve the citizens’ living standard in parallel with the growth of the minimum wage to Mden 18,000, as well as the increase in pensions. The Government takes care of the living standard with systemic solutions, putting the most vulnerable groups as a top priority,” the press release adds.
