The Government launched Tuesday the “Celebrate Responsibly!” campaign ahead of the New Year and Christmas holidays.
Prime Minister Zoran Zaev said everyone should act responsibly during the holidays in order to prevent a new COVID-19 wave.
“The Government puts the people’s health at the top of its priorities and that is why we have adopted further restrictions for the coming holidays. I urge people to celebrate responsibly. This is a time for observance not celebration,” said PM Zaev.
He urged people to rise above their personal interests.
“I am aware that the measures are not popular. But it is a choice between the individual and short-term interest during the New Year and Christmas holidays versus the way out of the COVID-19 threat. This time we choose between satisfaction and profit on one side, and responsibility and health on the other,” noted Zaev.
