Electric vehicles ‘e.GO’ will be manufactured in North Macedonia, after the Government at a session on Thursday gave the green light to a multimillion investment by Next.e.GO Mobile SE, Aachen, Germany, creating 3-4,000 new jobs in TIDZ Tetovo, transmits news agency MIA.
The Government said in a press release it has adopted a report and approved an Agreement on Granting State Aid, concluded between the Government of North Macedonia, represented by the Directorate for Technological Industrial Development Zones and Next.e.GO Mobile SE.
“For the first time in the country’s automotive industry a complete car will be manufactured, and of course, electric cars will be produced for the first time as well,” reads the press release.
According to the press release, the benefits of this investment are numerous – from the creation of new jobs, the export of products with high added value, the transfer of knowledge and technologies, the mapping of the country among foreign investors in this field, to contracts and additional work for local companies.
