At the121st session, the Government thoroughly and comprehensively reviewed the proposed measures and recommendations of the Commission for Infectious Diseases for intensification of KOVID-19 vaccination and for increasing the number of vaccinated citizens in Northern Macedonia.
– Based on the indisputable fact that mass vaccination is the most effective response to protect against the consequences and prevent the spread of the pandemic with COVID-19, the Government concluded to ask the Commission for Infectious Diseases for additional analysis and comparative studies on proposed measures, but also proposals for additional measures to encourage mass vaccination, emphasize the Government.
Pending the additional analyzes, the Government instructed the line ministries and inspection services to invest all their capacities and to strengthen the application and control of the implementation of all active measures for protection against COVID-19, and especially the system of verification of vaccination certificates. PCR tests and certificates of past infection with COVID-19 through rigorous verification of the identity of the persons displaying these documents for access to the facilities where it is mandatory.
– In order to encourage mass vaccination, the Government instructed all ministries, public enterprises, joint stock companies and state-owned agencies to conduct screening to determine the percentage of vaccinated in the state and public administration, as well as to determine the possibilities for incentives. for greater to full coverage of vaccination, as well as the legal basis for restrictions on the right to duty, overtime, business trips and other options for additional income for public administration employees, the government said in a statement.
