The Government reviewed and adopted Tuesday COVID-19 Vaccination Report by the Ministry of Health, instructing several institutions to draft action plans and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for reception, physical security, storage, distribution and application for COVID-19 vaccines.
The Government has charged the Ministry of Interior, the Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices (MALMED), the Customs Administration and the Ministry of Health to draft and submit, within seven days, their own action plans and SOPs for reception, physical security, storage, distribution and application for COVID-19 vaccines, in line with their jurisdiction and role in the implementation of the National COVID-19 Vaccination Plan.
The Government hass also recommended airport concessionaire TAV Macedonia DOOEL Skopje to draft and submit to the Ministry of Health, within seven days, its own action plan and SOPs for reception, physical security, storage, distribution and application for COVID-19 vaccines.
The Ministry of Finance and the Public Procurement Bureau, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, should draft the amendments to the Law on Public Procurement, within five days, enabling advance payment exceeding 20 percent of the price and exemption from the obligation of a bank guarantee for advance payment in public procurement procedures directly related to management of outbreaks and pandemics of communicable diseases, the Government said in a press release.
The Government also decided that every passenger from Great Britain entering the country at any border crossing be placed in a mandatory quarantine based on a statement filled out at the border crossing when entering the country, while transiting passengers are obligated to leave the country within 24 hours.
In addition, the Government accepted the proposals by the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy over the payment of a one-time financial reward to the health workers from the Ministry of Defense engaged in the treatment of COVID-19 patients, as well as staff in the Special Institution for persons with disabilities in Demir Kapija for their weeks-long engagement in the care of the residents, reads the press release.
