The Government held Tuesday its 85th session, discussing and approving the set of agreements on financing municipal infrastructure projects from the TAV programme.
The second package incorporates infrastructure projects in 36 municipalities, the Government said in a press release.
Over 90 infrastructure projects worth EUR 49,7 million will be realized by using the funds that were initially projected for the now-terminated project for construction of a cargo airport in Shtip. The first stage included 23 projects, while the second and third stages are to be completed by the end of July. The projects relate to water supply networks, sewerage and storm drain systems, rehabilitation of local roads, reconstruction of kindergartens, primary and secondary schools, water reservoirs etc. Portion of the funds will be used for enlargement of the capacities of the two airports in the country.
