The Republic of North Macedonia and the Federal Republic of Germany are signing a nonrefundable grant agreement for the German Government to fund North Macedonia’s energy transition to renewable energy sources.
According to the official press release, EUR 2.4 million will be made available to North Macedonia as a nonrefundable grant, and an additional EUR 80.5 million as cheap loans to finance the construction of renewable energy facilities.
Power Plants of North Macedonia director Vasko Kovachevski will sign the agreement together with the KfW Development Bank director for North Macedonia and Kosovo, René Eschemann.
German Ambassador to North Macedonia Anke Holstein and Prime Minister Zoran Zaev will be present at the signing and address the attendees.
