Circular Economy Week 2025 will officially start on May 26, bringing together a series of interesting activities and events organized by the LogEx network partners in all the Western Balkan countries. This year’s theme is “From local fixes to regional impact”.
The regional initiative of the LogEx Community – formed by The Balkan Forum – aims to revolutionize the Western Balkans’ approach to sustainable development, by promoting circular economy practices. By bringing together different actors, including also academia, civil society organizations, media, businesses and experts, the Circular Economy Week fosters cooperation and promotes significant changes in the region.
CIVIL this year again will carry out a rich program during the Western Balkans Circular Economy Week. Under the slogan “Give me five!”, the activities of Green CIVIL (an organizational unit of CIVIL established in 2009) focus on strengthening public awareness, political dialogue and education on circular economy.
During the Circular Economy Week, CIVIL’s media platform will offer a rich media production by involving stakeholders and presenting best practices for promoting business models in this economic area, as well as policies and practices related to the five basic principles of the circular economy (the 5 R’s): Rethink, Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, and Recyclе.
The LogEx Community was established in December 2021 as a partnership for bridging the gap between higher education and the employment marketplace in the Western Balkans. By focusing on building human capital, strengthening the circular economy and promoting sustainable development, LogEx Community helps create development opportunities in the region based on green values, policies and practices.
