The national coordinator of the action plan for youth employment in Republic of Macedonia, within the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, Mladen Frckovski, at the conference “Society Without Borders” organized by CIVIL – Center for Freedom stated that the young people become attractive on the labor market almost two and a half years after completing their education, a very long period, after which they need additional education and a process of activation in order to renew the knowledge they have acquired and be able to work, able in the true sense of the word.
“If employers feel that they lack labor force, then they themselves will improve the working conditions, the salary and all the other benefits that workers are entitled to, normally in every country. If you take a look years back, according to the official data of the State Statistical Office, there are 6.000 to 7.000 jobs available. Given the offer, the attitude of the employers is as such, but when competition will be created between them and there will be a need of 60.000 jobs…, then the employees will be the ones saying what kind of working conditions they want”, stated Frckovski, stressing the need of encouraging the young people to open their own businesses, so as for them to shape their own future.
