Director of “Skopje” prison Filip Andonov confirms for MIA that starting today former President of the Criminal Court Vladimir Pancevski is in prison, where he starts serving his prison sentence of two and a half years for abuse of official position.
Andonov explained that Pancevski, after having received the act for serving the sentence, tried to postpone the execution of the sentence with an appeal. His appeal was rejected by the judges, after which he reported himself today at 2.00 pm to serve the sentence.
Pancevski is placed in an isolation room in compliance to the Covid protocols.
Pancevski is convicted in the Akmis case, namely, for manually arranging cases with certain judges, as president of the court, in the period 2013 – 2016.
