Deputy Prime Minister in Charge of Economic Affairs Fatmir Bytyqi has founded the ‘For the Fatherland with Love’ Platform, which gathers “the best economics minds” to use their advice in policy-making, create a predictable business climate, and improve citizens’ lives, according to the official press release.
Platform members include some of the country’s leading experts in macroeconomics, public finance, taxation, investments, customs, entrepreneurship, human capital, and strategic planning, the release says.
In his opening statement during the first meeting on Tuesday evening, Deputy PM Bytyqi said that state policies should resonate with the needs of the real sector.
“To make sure our solutions and policies are sustainable, it is extremely important for them to be developed through a process including all stakeholders,” Bytyqi is quoted as saying in the release.
Invited to participate in the ‘For the Fatherland with Love’ Platform meetings are “any well-wishers who want to contribute to the country’s economic development” from the ranks of the country’s former ministers, university professors, and other economic experts regardless of their political affiliation, gender, or ethnicity, the release adds.
