Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani, after being invited by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, will take part Tuesday in a video conference of NATO foreign ministers ahead of the NATO Summit in Brussels on June 14.
North Macedonia will participate in the summit for the first time since becoming NATO member, the Foreign Ministry said in a press release.
Foreign ministers are expected to discuss issues focused on the NATO 2030 agenda, namely strengthening of unity and solidarity, accelerating the ongoing adaptation to the new strategic surrounding and defining the strategic direction of the Alliance for the coming decade, considered key elements of the comprehensive process focused on NATO’s future.
Ministers will also discuss key strategic issues as regards the situation in Afghanistan and NATO’s future engagement after deciding to withdraw its forces as well as issues related to regional stability, said the press release.
