Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani as part of his visit to Japan, hosted Monday a business forum with the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), promoting North Macedonia’s investment benefits before renowned Japanese companies, transmits MIA.
“The Republic of North Macedonia as the NATO member and on the threshold of EU accession talks, is an attractive investment destination, with the greatest potential for progressive development and excellent business opportunities for companies to expand into the European market,” Osmani said.
Osmani presented essential parameters of North Macedonia’s economy as a country of stable economic and financial system and favourbale conditions for foreign investments, Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release.
He also underlined that North Macedonia’s excellent geographic positioning provides an access to the European market of over 650 million consumers, the low operating costs, as well as the highly skilled workforce.
Addressing the forum participants, Osmani said that North Macedonia remains attractive destination for foreign investors in automotive industry, energy, IT industry and other sectors.
The event was opened by the JETRO President Kazushige Nobutani and general director of JETRO Vienna Office, Tatsuo Kamino, as well as Hidenori Watanabe, director of the Japanese IT company Writerity Inc office in North Macedonia also delivered presentations.
The business forum was attended by more than thirty senior officials of renowned Japanese companies, including Honda, Mitsubishi, Nippon Koei that showed strong interest in North Macedonia’s investment benefits.
