The vaccination of people over 77 years of age, as a risk group, has started Wednesday in most of the cities in the country.
“The entire vaccination process goes smoothly without any problems reported. The places where the documents are filled in are clearly marked,” Health Minister Venko Filipche told reporters after visiting vaccination point in Jane Sandanski polyclinic where seniors over 77 years are being vaccinated.
The vaccination in smaller cities in health centres will kick off on Friday, Filipche said.
The COVID-19 vaccination point in Jane Sandanski polyclinic, Filipche said, have two units – one for vaccination of senior citizens and in the other unit healthcare workers are being revaccinated with the Sputnik V shot.
He pointed out that 20,000 vaccines have already been distributed according to the reported just under 20,000 citizens across the country, who have expressed willingness to receive AstraZeneca vaccine.
