The main message is for people to refrain from going out unless necessary. People should celebrate the coming holidays and feast days with their close ones, because we have seen mini-clusters originating from large family gatherings, said Health Minister Venko Filipche on Wednesday.
Minister Filipche said the inviolability of the home is guaranteed by the Constitution.
“Control of outdoor gatherings and malls is easy to administer but it is up to the citizens’ awareness to observe these measures. The main risk comes from the mixing of families. The measures enter into force this Friday and will last until January 20,” Filipche told reporters.
According to him, the current situation is a proof that open borders do not represent a risk for the epidemiological situation.
“However, local transmission is the main risk and that is why restrictions are tailored in this way,” noted Filipche.
