North Macedonia’s Health Minister Venko Filipche is set to take part Tuesday in Bulgarian government session at the invitation of Prime Minister Boyko Borisov and Health Minister Kostadin Angelov.
The discussion during the session will focus on getting COVID-19 vaccines to North Macedonia from the first batch that will arrive in Bulgaria.
“The support from the EU member states is the second mechanism through which our country will secure COVID-19 vaccines. So far, Poland and Greece have offered this kind of assistance to our country,” the Ministry of Health said in a press release.
North Macedonia has ensured the delivery of COVID-19 vaccines through the COVAX system and the country is also in direct negotiations with vaccine manufacturers to procure additional vaccine doses.
