Health Minister Venko Filipche said Friday that the epidemiological situation in the country is quite stable and voiced hope that the trend of new cases of COVID-19 that are extremely small will remain.
During his visit to the University Clinic for Gynecology and Obstetrics on Friday he said that during the holidays the COVID-19 restrictive measures have not been much breached and we are in a period of stable epidemiological situation in which conducting tests and hospital admission are adequately managed.
“Epidemiological situation in the country is quite stable. The number of patients in need of hospitalization is significantly decreasing in the past few days, and the trend of extremely small number of hospitalized patients in not only in Skopje, but also throughout the country continues. And I believe that this small number will remain. Restrictive measures have been rarely breached during the holidays. That part was significantly facilitated by testing with rapid tests in all public health institutions and in the part of hospitalization where there is a sufficient number of hospital beds and a sufficient number of doctors, nurses for the treatment of patients,” Filipche told reporters.
