The effectiveness of the Chinese vaccines ranges from 60 up to 90 percent, but I believe it is sufficient to achieve the desired effect, namely a certain degree of collective immunity, said Health Minister Venko Filipche on Monday.
Minister Filipche said the quantity of the vaccines is very important, since it would cover two very important categories – health workers and all those working in the health system, as well as the elderly citizens with chronic diseases.
He said the Pfizer, Moderna and other vaccines, along with the Chinese jab, are equally safe.
“There is no room for doubt in the safety of any vaccine. I believe that all vaccines will be much more available beyond March, discussions with the companies will be much easier and quantities will increase across Europe,” said Filipche.
He said the authorities want to see a continued inoculation process.
“We want to have a process that is continual, including all groups of citizens, of course by priority,” noted Filipche.
