“The autumn wave of new patients from Covid-19 has increased the number of admissions to the Clinic, so that from the afternoon all the beds have been filled. That is why we are putting the modular department into operation,” said Filipce in an interview for “360 Degrees” yesterday.
He confirmed that all the beds at the Clinic for Infectious Diseases in Skopje have been filled and as of last night, the modular hospital located near the clinical building is being activated.
It is reported that, to meet the growing needs of the Infectious Diseases Clinic, staff – doctors and nurses, from the Clinic for Pulmonology and Allergology and the Institute for Lung Diseases and Tuberculosis came to help.
Apart from the Clinic, the infectious wards in the hospitals in several cities in the country are full, which requires redistribution of some of the patients from those to other places.
– There is no need to panic, the health system is ready to deal with the situation, but the measures and recommendations should be respected, said Minister Filipce for “360 degrees”.
