CIVIL is organizing a workshop in Gostivar on the topic: “Participation in policy making, strengthening public awareness and promotion of European values, multiculturalism and non-discrimination at the local level.” The workshop will be held on July 8 (Thursday), starting at 12:00, in the municipal hall.
This is only one part of CIVIL’s activities in the efforts to contribute to the introduction, motivation and mobilization of the society at all levels and in all sectors. Specifically, this workshop continues the direct cooperation of CIVIL with the municipalities in creating successful models for civic participation in the decision-making processes at the local level in these extremely important areas.
CIVIL recognizes the need for active involvement of all stakeholders in answering questions about cooperation between local government, civil society organizations, media and citizens in nurturing and promoting European values in general and multiculturalism in particular, both nationally and locally.
The Mayor of the Municipality of Gostivar, Dr. Arben Taravari, members of the Municipal Council announced their participation, and representatives of non-governmental organizations, political parties, media and interested citizens were invited.
The workshop will be held with physical presence with maximum observance of the protocols and measures for protection and security of Covid-19.
The workshop is part of the project “European Perspectives” implemented by CIVIL with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany.
