More than 22 European journalist organizations showed their support for and solidarity with Belarusian Journalists Association (BAJ) and its chairman Andrei Bastunets at an international ZOOM conference, including the German Journalists Association (DJV), the German Journalist’s Union (DJU) and a number of European umbrella associations, among them the European Federation of Journalists (EFJ) .
“As co-initiator of this event, I would like to say that I am glad ′′ Mediadialogue ′′ and our existing network could be part of this broad movement of solidarity with the Belarusian Journalists who are suffering massive state pressure and persecution, ” Wolfgang Ressmann, Director, Media Dialogue, said.
