With the motto: “United in diversity”, the European Commission marked #ToleranceDay and declared that “human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, the rule of law, human rights are part of European values”.

“Our European values are shared in a society in which tolerance, inclusion, justice, solidarity and non-discrimination prevail. These values are an integral part of our European way of life. With the new strategy of # EU4LGBTIQ and the EU Anti-Racism Action Plan we want to build #UnionOfEquuality where all people:

  • are protected from all forms of discrimination, violence and hatred;
  • be free and safe to be exactly what you are;
  • feel fully involved and accepted in all areas of society.

“It is our duty and task to live by these words and to fulfill their meaning.” says the EC.
