The Power Plants of North Macedonia (ESM)is to present at a government session on Thursday afternoon a draft-agreement on cooperation with Balkan Energy Group (BEG), and take over the management of heating energy as of Friday, Jan. 21.
Minister of Economy Kreshnik Bekteshi assures heating will be on until 1 am and temperatures will not go down.
“We will hold a government session this afternoon at which the ESM is obliged to present a draft-agreement on technical cooperation with BEG. In line with the decision to declare crisis in heating, we will funnel additional funds to the ESM. As of tomorrow, ESM will be managing BEG’s supply, distribution and production in order to secure continuous heating supply for the people of Skopje,” Bekteshi said in response to reporters’ questions.
He added that the agreement will be available to the public.
