AD ESM through a written statement welcomes the fact that the Regulatory Commission for Energy and Water Services (ERC) has decided to increase the price of electricity to a minimum and in single digits.

– AD ESM previously agreed to sell electricity to EVN Home for the needs of citizens at a compromise price of 41 euros per megawatt hour, in order not to cause a significant increase in its share in the final price of electricity. When determining the price of AD ESM, the projection of what will be the final price for consumers was of primary importance. For these reasons, ESM was careful to propose the Government to support and recommend a price that will not cause a major price shock in society, and still will maintain the stability of the company, said in a statement from AD ESM.

In that direction, it is emphasized, are the latest decisions of the Government for additional supply of EVN Home through ESM in conditions of crisis.

– The role of AD ESM with the new law on energy is for the state producer of electricity to provide a temporary price buffer zone for a period of several years. AD ESM invests all capacities, both production and human, to fulfill its obligation and maintain a stable and reliable electricity system and uninterrupted delivery of electricity to households, said in a statement from AD ESM.
