Dragi Rashkovski and Daniel Stanchev, suspects in the case of procurement of traffic software, have been brought before a pre-trial judge at the Skopje-based Criminal Court, it told MIA.
According to the Court, the public will be further notified after the questioning concludes as regards the public prosecutor’s request for detention of the two suspects. Precautionary measures are called for two other suspects in the case.
On Thursday, a competent public prosecutor of the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime and Corruption issued an order for conducting an investigation procedure against four persons on the grounds of suspicion of abuse of office and authority, the Prosecutor’s Office said.
The prosecutor has requested a pre-trial judge at the Skopje-based Criminal Court to impose detention measure due to risk of escape, hiding, and influencing witnesses for the two first suspects in the case. Precautionary measures including ban to leave residence, duty to report to a certain official or a certain state body, temporary confiscation of travel or other documents, have been requested for the other suspects.
Following recent media reports about the procurement of a software, the prosecution opened a pre-investigation procedure on March 18. Several orders have been issued to collect necessary documentation for the purposes of investigation.
